elektrikmayhem: I thought the post was awesome because I regularly think in generalization like that because as a whole we generally tend to stereotype and hold unfair expectations of women that are contradictory and oppressive. The same can be said for men, but the society is not dominated by women and therefore it is not one man saying it a women, it is the entire society participating in behaviors and thoughts which perpetuate patriarchy. I love your blog!!

elektrikmayhem: I think the most important thing is that these anonymous people are holding conversation with you without even letting you know who they are. Intelligence does not cower behind anonymity, especially when they are justified and right. An aspect of patriarchy is the contradictory and oppressive expectations of women. Sure, the cases are not always so clear. That post was a generalization. But the unwillingness to hold an intelligent and open conversation emphasizes the patriarchy of the other.

Anonymous: Your argument on intelligence is literally the lowest argument I've ever seen haha. You can't read an anon message, read an opinion, and then respond by insulting someones intelligence when they insulted yours based on YOUR reblog which shows your opinion. Saying "Any one (used wrong btw) intelligent wouldn't have said half the shit you just said" doesn't make you sound intelligent, nor does it actually argue your intelligence or mine. But sure, whatever floats your boat

Well, I don’t think I’m the one that’s mad, but let me be a little more clear. I think to say “anyone that agrees with that post about patriarchy is unintelligent” is an ignorant statement. I also think to say that because someone expresses an idea on tumblr by reblogging it makes their opinions or beliefs less valid because they didn’t originally create it is silly. You assuming that their commitment to these beliefs ends when they close down their computer is ignorant. That post is relevant to my experiences in MY life. It’s on MY tumblr where I like to reblog great photography, quotes, articles and post pictures from my own daily life and what not. It’s my opinion. If you disagree, that’s fine. Insulting me though, by saying that I’m unintelligent because I agree with that post, while also saying over and over that you’re not saying I’m dumb is contradictory. 


Really, over all, I think you’re an immature antagonist looking to stir something up. I’ve stated my opinion about that post and about what you’ve said to me and I don’t think the argument you’re presenting is of a genuine desire to have a mutual debate about an important topic, rather than just trying to be a jerk. So I’m letting this one go. 

Anonymous: All I am saying is what you reblogged is completely and utterly ignorant and wrong. Intelligence isn't based on a tumblr blog but when it is, it's not based on ignorant responses to anons, selfies, and cool photos you dig. I'm not saying you're dumb but the fact that you actually got mad at someones opinion on something you didn't even post is quite funny to me haha. But please, respond to this in a negative way because you're so high and mighty pretty intelligent girl ^_^.
